Dental implants are a great option for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants can also be used to permanently anchor dentures. Dr. Low can evaluate your teeth and jawbone to see if there is healthy bone to support implants and help you regain function in your smile.
Dental Implant Process
The dental implant procedure is comprised of two phases: 1) placement of the implant and 2) restoration of the tooth with a dental crown. The implant is a small titanium screw that acts as an artificial “root” for the tooth. Once the implant is placed, it fuses to the jawbone during a healing period. This provides proper structure and support for a future dental crown, bridge, or denture.

After the implant heals in the bone, a crown is placed over the implant to mimic a real tooth. The restoration itself is custom made to match your smile and can be used the same as a natural tooth.
Dental implants require multiple appointments, so Dr. Low will thoroughly discuss your treatment plan with you so you know what to expect during the different stages of the implant process. We invite you to ask questions before, during and after treatments so you can stay informed about your care.
